Terms of Service & Policies

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using the Seiccounting platform, our websites, or our mobile applications ("the Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you use the Services on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Services.

2. The Services

Seikom provides the Seiccounting multi-tenant business management platform, including accounting, inventory, payroll, and industry-specific modules, together with companion mobile applications such as Digital Farmer. Features may be added, modified, or removed at our discretion. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes that affect subscribed features.

3. Accounts and Security

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
  • Organisation administrators are responsible for managing their users' access and permissions.

4. Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing

  • Free trials are provided as described at sign-up and may be modified or withdrawn with notice.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed on the plan and cycle you select. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • We may change pricing for future periods with at least 30 days' notice, communicated by email or in-app notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law.
  • Upload or store content that infringes third-party rights or is malicious, defamatory, or obscene.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services, other accounts, or our systems.
  • Reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the Services without our written consent.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the availability, security, or integrity of the Services.

6. Intellectual Property

The Services, including their software, design, logos, and documentation, are owned by Seikom and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the data you enter into the Services. By using the Services you grant us a limited licence to process your data solely to provide the Services, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Services you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

8. Availability and Support

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Services may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or circumstances beyond our control. Support is provided via admin@seikom.co.za in accordance with your plan.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Seikom disclaims all warranties, express or implied, and shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Services. In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, unlawful use, or non-payment, with notice where practicable. On termination, your right to access the Services ends. Data retention and deletion after termination follow our retention schedule as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts, unless a different resolution is mandated by applicable law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by a notice on our website or by email. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
